Uplyme through to 20/20 cup finals day

UPLYME & Lyme Regis Cricket Club produced another professional performance to reach the finals day of the Tidball 20/20 Cup.

Uplyme defeated Exeter 3rds by 72 runs to win a place in the finals day at Sheldon on Sunday, August 11th – and they plan to make a day of it.

The club is pintending to lay on two mini-buses for the all-day event so spectators can attend.

Against Exeter 3rds, Uplyme batted first and amassed 174-7 in their 20 0vers with Steve Batey top scoring on 46 supporters by good knocks from Tyler Wellman (39) and Harvey Brimacombe (20 not out).

In reply, Exeter 3rds were 102-8 when stumps were drawn with the wickets being shared by Tyler Wellman (2-15), Steve Batey (2-11) and Charlie Moss (2 – 20).
