Uplyme looking for first win of cricket season

UPLYME & Lyme Regis 1st X1 will be looking for their first win of the 2018 season this afternoon (Saturday) when they meet Sandford in the Devon Cricket League D East division at the King George V playing field.

Lat week Uplyme were beaten by seven wickets at Cyst St George but they will fancy their chances against Sandford who were skittled out by Chardstock for just 28 runs with only three batsmen troubling the scorers.

With the football season now drawing to a close, Uplyme should also be able to field a stronger side in the coming weeks.

Uplyme & Lyme Regis 2nd X1 are away to Exwick and tomorrow (Sunday) the Uplyme Lads and Dads side meet Dewlish CC in the TT25 competition, organised by the Dorset Cricket Board,  at the King George V playing field.

A full report on Uplyme’s opening games will appear in the LymeOnline print version next Friday (May 18).
