Uplyme cricket: update

UPLYME & Lyme Regis 1st team’s Devon League match at the King George V playing field this afternoon against fellow strugglers North Devon is finely poised with the home team having faced 20 overs.

Uplyme won the toss and elected to field, bowling out North Devon for 124 runs. Pick of the bowlers was Ewan Peddar, who took 3-17 off off just four overs.  Tyler Wellman also claimed three wickets at a cost of 20 runs.

Opener Jedd Whittington gave Uplyme a good start with a swashbuckling 44, including three sixes and six fours. Uplyme then lost five quick wickets with just six runs being added.

At the moment (5.50 pm), Charlie Moss is  is at the wicket on 14 not out with Laurie Thomas (4 not out) and another 20 overs to face.
