Three points essential for Lyme Regis 1st team

WITH little rain this week, there is every hope of a full local football programme this weekend.

Lyme Regis 1st X1 have what on paper would seem a reasonably easy fixture away to Alphington 2nds, who are bottom of the Devon & Exeter League Division One.  Three points are essential if Lyme are to keep pace with the promotion chasers.

Lyme Regis Reserves, very much in the mix for promotion from Division Five,  also have an away game against Westexe Rangers 1st, who are struggling at the foot of the table.

Lyme’s third eleven. the Rovers,  are on cup duty, having been drawn home to Farway Reserves in the Bill Bailey Cup.

Uplyme have a tough home cup tie against Perry Street League Division One leaders Farway, whilst Charmouth  travel to Chard United reserves in Division Two where they are challenging for honours.

Saturday update: All games on!  Rovers’ cup tie at Woodroffe School pitch.
