First victory of season for Uplyme 2nds

UPLYME & Lyme Regis 2nds recorded their first win of the new cricket season with a comprehensive victory away to Exwick  2nds yesterday (Saturday).

Exwick won the toss and elected to bat but soon found themselves struggling against the Lyme attack, led once again by Simon Rattenbury who claimed four wickets for the second week running, conceding just 15 runs in his eight overs.

The home team were skittles out for just 48 with only one player reaching double figures.

Gabriel Latby also did well with the ball, taking three wickets for the loss of  15 runs in six overs.

Lyme knocked off the required runs with opening Jerry Simms carrying his bat for 33 runs and No 3 David Norman finished undeafetad on 11 in Lyme’s winning score of 51 – 1 in 14 overs.
