Bowling green to reopen next week

LYME Regis Bowls Club will reopen to members only on Monday, May 25.

Following the easing of the government’s lockdown restrictions, allowing for more outdoor exercise, the bowls club has decided to reopen its green at Monmouth Beach.

Rinks must be pre-booked by calling Barry Driscoll on 07823 408 078 or 01297 489968.

A spokesperson for the club said: “We need to follow the guidelines as advised by Bowls England, but with the good weather continuing for the foreseeable future this is a great opportunity to get on the green as lockdown continues to ease.”

This follows the recent reopening of Lyme Regis golf course and tennis courts in Uplyme.
