LYME Regis 1sts closed the gap with their nearest opponents at the top of the Devon and Exeter League Premier East division with an impressive 3-0 win over Chard Town Reserves last evening (Wednesday)
Feniton still top the reset table with 14 points, but the Seasiders are trailing by just one point but with a game in hand.
Lyme’s goals came from Jo Bond (penalty), Brad Rowe and Fred Parsons.
Manager Julien Simier described the Seasiders’ performance as “a superb win – resilient first half against the slope and superb football in the second half”.
Lyme will have the chance to strengthen their bid to top the table on Saturday when they welcome Kentisbeare 1sts to the Davey Fort on Saturday (kick-off 3pm).
