Lyme Reserves continue run of good results

WINDY conditions at Dunkeswell caused problems for both teams when Lyme Regis Reserves continued their vein of good form on May Holiday Monday afternoon with a 2-1 victory.

Will Meech had a great game returning in goal for his first match post- lockdown and was unlucky to concede late on.

Cody Bowditch, with his second good performance in three days, put Lyme ahead with  a really tidy finish with some close control in the box after good work from Brin Seward. Brad Rowe got Lyme’s second, described by joint manager Dec Ellis as “special”.

Joint manager Matt Preece said afterwards: “All the players had to really battle their way through the conditions and both teams put a huge amount of effort in, but once again we managed to come out on top in a competitive game. That’s 13 points from the last 5 games, and I know there’s a lot more to come from the lads.”

On Saturday (May 8th) the Reserves are away to Devon & Exeter league Division One East bottom club, Lympstone.
