LYME Regis Lifeboat Week got underway on Saturday, with the official opening ceremony carried out by local landlord Tom Littledyke and his partner Georgia Wellman.
Tom and Georgia were invited to open the annual event as a thank you for their fundraising and aid efforts for Ukraine.
Tom was interviewed by former BBC journalist Chris Coneybeer about his recent trips to Ukraine before cutting a ribbon to open Lifeboat Week.
Other opening day events included a display by Lyme Regis and Exmouth lifeboats, belly dancing, a swimming challenge, and music by shanty singers Mariners Away.
Events continue today with the popular bathtub race, fun run and illuminated boats.
Full details of all the week’s events can be found in Lifeboat Week programmes, available for £2 at local outlets, or download the Lyme Regis Lifeboat Week app.
