Uplyme residents encouraged to complete housing needs survey

UPLYME residents are being encouraged to fill our a housing needs survey which will help to inform how many new developments and affordable houses are needed in future.

Uplyme Parish Council are working with the Devon Rural Housing Partnership on the survey.

A previous housing needs survey was carried out by Uplyme’s Neighbourhood Plan group, but this expires after five years and a new survey is needed to inform housing associations of the housing needs in the parish.

At least one new housing development is currently planned for Uplyme, at Venlake, which will be a mixture of affordable rental and private homes.

Every household in the parish should have received the survey and is being encouraged to complete it by the deadline of May 16.
