AFTER a busy year of performances, Uplyme Morris have donated funds raised during 2018 to their chosen charities.

The morris dancing side, which finished this year’s calendar of events at the switch-on of the Christmas lights in Lyme Regis, collect money at all of their performances and donate the proceeds to good causes each year.

This year they selected The Royal Air Force Association as one of their chosen charities, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the RAF. Other organisations to benefit were Xplosion Youth Club based at Uplyme Church, the Devon Air Ambulance, youth music charity B Sharp, the RNLI and Dorset County Hospital’s Cancer Appeal.

Upyme Morris’ first performance of 2019 will be on New Year’s Day outside the Harbour Inn on Marine Parade from 1.30pm.
