Action-packed summer camp for Scout troop

THE 1st Lym Valley Scouts had an incredible week-long summer camp this year at ‘Run to the Fun’, the county Jamboree held at Exeter Racecourse on Haldon Hill.

The Scouts took part in a range of activities, from a hike on Dartmoor and paddle boarding at Exeter quay to a silent disco at the camp.

Scout leader Karen Yelland said: “The Scouts had a brilliant time at the jamboree and had a lot of fun meeting people from across the West Country and around the world.

“The Scouts are now really looking forward to our summer camp next year, when we will be heading off the south of France for a water sports week.”
