Regatta & Carnival donates £9,000 to local good causes

carnival duck logoFOLLOWING another successful year of events, Lyme Regis Regatta & Carnival Committee has donated more than £9,000 to local good causes.

Committee secretary Alan Vian said: “We are delighted to be able to give so much money away to local organisations many of whom helped us with our events this year. We have a small team which organises three events each year, as well as Regatta & Carnival Week itself.”

The committee is currently looking for new members to help plan events, and anyone interested is welcome to attend its annual general meeting at the Pine Hall of Lyme Regis Baptist Church on Wednesday, February 19 at 7pm.

The committee would be pleased to hear views on its plans for 2020, either on the night or by emailing alan@alanvian.co.uk

The local good causes who received donations this year were as follows:
