Nag’s Head to reopen under new ownership

nags headTHE Nag’s Head in Lyme Regis will soon be reopening under new ownership.

Tony Allen will be taking over as landlord of the Silver Street pub from James and Rebecca DeVoisey.

Having given the traditional pub and guest rooms above a spruce up, James and Rebecca built up a loyal customer base during their three years at the Nag’s, with their popular live music nights and weekly meat draw attracting huge crowds before lockdown.

The Nag’s is the only Lyme Regis pub which has yet to reopen following the easing of COVID-19 regulations, but James and Rebecca announced last week that “exciting changes were afoot” and the pub would be opening shortly under the new ownership of Tony Allen.

They commented: “We would just like to say how much James and myself have appreciated your support during our three years at the Nag’s and of course we would like to wish Tony and his team all the best and many happy years at the Nag’s.”

The pub is currently advertising for new bar staff with evening, daytime, weekend and weekday shifts available.

Those applying must be 18 or over, have previous bar experience and be willing and able to work on the bar alone.
