Missing teen’s family informed after body found in Seaton

THE body of a man was found in Seaton on Wednesday, September 25. 

Emergency services, including the police and coastguards, attended the scene after the body was found and confirmed the man deceased at the scene.

Formal identification is yet to take place but the family of missing man, William Fowles, have been informed of this update.

An appeal for the 18-year-old, from Exeter, was put out this week after he went missing, having last been seen in the Beer area on Tuesday, September 24. Police, coastguards and Lyme Regis lifeboat crew were involved in a search for Mr Fowles on Tuesday night.

Devon & Cornwall Police said the death is currently being treated as unexplained and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
