LYME Regis Medical Centre’s Minor Injuries Unit will be open over the Easter weekend.

People will be able to access the Minor Injury Unit from 8am to 1pm from Good Friday to Easter Monday.

The Minor Injury Unit will see people, who do not need an appointment to be seen, for minor burns, cuts, splinters, foreign bodies in the eye, ear or skin.

The GP service at Lyme Regis Medical Centre, however, is closed from March 30 (Good Friday) to April 2 (Easter Monday) with full service resuming on Tuesday, April 3.

Alison Robinson, Service Manager at Lyme Regis Medical Centre, said: “Bank holidays are a busy time for services like ours so it’s important we offer services so that locals can access healthcare when they need to.

“Our Minor Injury Unit will remain open as usual and patients are welcome to drop in if they need to see a doctor or nurse. They do not have to be registered to get free NHS care, though patients may register with us if they wish.”
