Three arrested on drug offences after children left locked in car

A MAN and two women were arrested at Monmouth Beach in Lyme Regis this afternoon (Monday) after two children were found locked in a car.

Police and the fire service were called to the car park at 2.48pm after receiving concern for welfare for two 11-year-old children who had been found in a locked car together with an unresponsive female passenger.

The children were unable to open the car. Officers gained access to the vehicle and the children were safe and well.

Subsequently two women and a man were arrested on suspicion of drugs offences and child neglect and are helping officers with their enquiries.
