Santa Claus is coming to town!

FATHER Christmas and his sleigh will be visiting Lyme Regis again this year, on the evenings of Wednesday, December 5 and Thursday 6.

Neville Causley, organiser of the Lyme Regis Charity Santa Sleigh, has reported that Father Christmas is booked and looking forward to meeting children on his tour around the streets of Lyme Regis.

This is the 17th year Mr Causley and his family have organised the sleigh, raising funds for both local and national organisations.

This is our 17th year for the sleigh, and we have raised money for both local and national organisations.

This year the money raised will be shared between several baby and toddler groups, including The Hub baby group, the Baptist Church baby group, Uplyme baby group and the Shining Stars Baby group.

Santa and his sleigh will take to the streets between 4pm and 8.30pm along the following routes:

Wednesday, December 5: Pound Road, Pound Street, Westhill Road, Hill Rise, Clappentail Lane, Portland Court, Clappentail Park, Somers Road, Somers Field, Sidmouth Road, Blue Waters Drive, Silver Street, Broad Street, Coombe Street, Hill Road, View Road, Woodmead Road, end of Avenue Road, Springhill Gardens, Haye Lane, Haye Close, St Georges Close, Uplyme Road.

Thursday, December 6: Uplyme Village Hall at approximately 4pm, Lym Close, Garmans Field, Dragons Hill, bottom of Timber Hill, Pine Ridge, Woodbury Down Way, Overton Close, Fairfield Park, Charmouth Close, Charmouth Road, Anning Road, Kingsway, bottom of Summerhill Road, Henry’s Way, Appleby Way, end of Elizabeth Close, Queen’s Walk, end of Queen’s Court, South Avenue, Colway Lane, North Avenue, Manor Avenue, Bay View Road, Talbot Road, Broad Street, Silver Street, Cobb Road, Woodroffe Meadow.

Please note that the sleigh is unable to go into some roads that are not mentioned on the list above, as it is either not safe to stop or there is no way of turning around.
