Red Devils parachute team confirmed for Lifeboat Week

The British Army's Red Devils parachute display team will be dropping into Lyme Regis during Lifeboat Week

ORGANISERS of Lyme Regis Lifeboat Week have confirmed that the Red Devils parachute display team will be dropping in again this summer.

Members of Lyme Regis and Charmouth RNLI Guild have already drawn up a provisional programme for the annual Lifeboat Week events, which this year will run from Saturday, July 28th to Friday, August 3rd.

And already confirmed for a return visit are the Red Devils, the British Army’s official parachute display team. They will be ‘dropping in’ during the afternoon of Thursday, August 2nd with a time to be confirmed.

The guild – the local fundraising branch of the RNLI charity – is holding its annual meeting on Wednesday, April 11th at 7.30pm at Lyme Regis lifeboat station. Guest speaker will be long-serving lifeboat crew member Elliott Herbert, who is also a full time senior assessor trainer with the RNLI.

New members of the guild are welcome to attend the meeting.

RNLI Flag Day will this year be held on Saturday, June 2nd when volunteer collectors will be on duty in Lyme Regis and Charmouth.
