Parish church to host first Sunday service

ST Michael’s Parish Church in Lyme Regis will be hosting its first Sunday service since lockdown restrictions were eased this weekend.

The Eucharist service will be held tomorrow (Sunday, September 6) at 11am and all are welcome to join.

Heidi Meritt of St Michael’s Parochial Church Council said: “A lot of planning has gone into this service to ensure the safety and comfort of all those attending and if all goes to plan there will be a second service towards the end of the month, details of which will be confirmed later.”

To ensure preparations for the Sunday service can be carried out safely, the church will not be open on Fridays for private prayer. Instead, it will be open on Wednesdays as of this week for this purpose.
