Lyme Regis GP urges all to stay at home

LYME Regis GP Forbes Watson has released a video encouraging all to follow government guidance and stay at home during the coronavirus epidemic.

Dr Watson is chairman of Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group and runs Lyme Bay Medical Practice, having recently also taken on Lyme Regis Medical Centre.

He has released a video encouraging patients to follow the government’s advice to help stop the spread of COVID-19 – stay at home, protect the NHS and save lives.

In the video, Dr Watson said that local NHS staff are working extremely hard to prepare to care for local residents suffering from the virus. He said his practices have significantly changed the way they deliver services, with a reduction in face-to-face contact to protect patients and staff.

“Never has it been more important to isolate or social distance, as the evidence is overwhelming that the more we can all do this, the more lives can be saved,” he added.
