A PILOT has suffered potentially life-changing injuries after a light aircraft crashing on the Devon and Dorset border, near Lyme Regis.

Emergency services were called to the scene at Blackpool Corner of the B3165 between Axminster and Marshwood, at about 1.50pm this afternoon (Tuesday).

Two men were injured in the crash. The male pilot sustained potentially life-changing injuries and was taken to hospital by air ambulance.

The male passenger was also taken to hospital by road ambulance as a precaution.

The aircraft crashed into a field next to a solar farm, which was not affected by the crash.
