IF you haven’t booked your flu vaccination for this year, Lyme Bay Medical Practice is asking patients to make an appointment as soon as possible.
Appointments are currently available for over 65 year olds and under 65 year olds in ‘at risk’ categories – for more information on whether you are eligible for a flu jab, please see the medical practice’s website lymebaymedicalpractice.co.uk
With a COVID-19 vaccination possible available later in the year, it is especially important that those eligible get their flu vaccinations as early as possible this year.
Information from NHS England soon regarding the 50-64 year old flu vaccination programme is expected soon. Until this is received, the practice is unable to book appointments for this cohort of patients.
The practice’s first flu vaccination clinic was held at the Woodmead Halls at the end of September and a second will be taking place on Saturday, October 17. To book your appointment, call 01297 443399 or 01297 445777.
A spokesperson for Lyme Bay Medical Practice said: “We had some lovely feedback from patients on our first flu vaccination clinic and the sun shone which definitely helped.
“A big thank you to all the staff and volunteers who gave up their Saturday to ensure more than 600 patients were vaccinated.
“Hopefully the weather will be kind on October 17 as well but, if not, we have plenty of space inside to ensure everyone can socially distance.
“If you are attending either the practice or Woodmead Halls for your vaccination please remember your face mask and to arrive for your appointment on time.
“Free parking has been arranged at Woodmead Halls for the duration of your appointment.”
