THOSE who use or have an interest in Lyme Regis harbour are invited to join a virtual meeting to discuss how you would like to see it develop in the future.
Dorset Coast Forum is currently considering future plans for Weymouth, West Bay and Lyme Regis harbours, including how best to balance the interests of their wide variety of users and the importance of the harbours to the Dorset Coast.
There are many considerations when ensuring the long-term economic viability of the harbours and Dorset Coast Forum is seeking views from harbour users and everyone who has an interest in the harbours to have their say and contribute towards a new Dorset Harbours Strategy.
The purpose of the strategy is to inform harbour users, employees and local communities how they can expect to see Weymouth, West Bay and Lyme Regis harbours develop over the next 10 years.
Dorset Council’s Harbours Committee has appointed Dorset Coast Forum to gather feedback from different users groups about their requirements and from the local businesses and communities about how they use the harbours and what they would like to see for their future.
All Lyme Regis harbour users and stakeholders are invited to a Dorset Harbours Strategy workshop, to be held via video conferencing app Zoom on Thursday, September 17 from 3pm to 5pm.
They would like you to hear what you value about the harbour and how you would like to see it develop in the future.
Those interested in joining the meeting should RSVP by August 31, confirming your full name and interest in the harbour by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Instructions on how to join the Zoom meeting will then be sent to you.
