Free parking for key workers in Lyme Regis

KEY workers will be allowed to park for free in Lyme Regis as the town council supports the delivery of essential local services.

The town council has written to businesses providing key services during the coronavirus emergency to offer free parking to employees who travel into Lyme Regis to work.

They can park for free at Woodmead car park in Hill Road, which has been closed to the general public but is open to permit holders and now key workers.

The town clerk John Wright said: “We hope this will help support local businesses and employees to deliver front-line services during these unprecedented times and will go some way to demonstrate the council’s appreciation for their exceptional efforts.”
