LYME Regis Town Council will return to face-to-face meetings this week.
After meeting virtually via video conferencing app Zoom for more than a year, councillors will meet in person on Wednesday evening for their Strategy & Finance Committee meeting.
The return to face-to-face meetings comes after the government decided not to extend COVID virtual meeting regulations, which means virtual meetings lost their legal status on May 6.
Wednesday’s meeting will be held in the temporary venue of the Marine Theatre, rather than the Guildhall, to allow for more social distancing, starting at 7pm.
Members of the public are still welcome to attend meetings and raise issues relating to the agenda in the public forum.
This week’s meeting will include discussions on the financial impact COVID has had on the town and security guard patrols on the seafront during summer.
