ONLINE bids for a charity auction hosted by the Rotary Club of Lyme Regis have opened today.
More than 100 lots are up for grabs, many donated by local businesses, including £250 vouchers for Lyme Bay Holidays properties, tickets to attractions su ch as Seaton Tramway and the Marine Aquarium in Lyme Regis, a three-course dinner at The Pilot Boat and a ‘Hix at Home’ fish box plus a live cook-along with Mark Hix.
Money raised from the online auction will be split between Lyme Regis Foodbank, Dorset-based children’s hospice Julia’s House, the Weldmar Hospice in Dorchester, and the Alzheimer’s Society.
All four causes have been significantly affected by the coronavirus pandemic over the past year.
Bids for the online auction opened today (Friday) at 12noon and will close at 9pm on Sunday, March 28. To place a bid, visit the website www.jumblebee.co.uk/lymeregisrotaryclubsilentauction, click on the item and press ‘Bid Now’.
At the end of the auction, the winning bidders will, once payment is received, be contacted by email and provided with an address in Lyme Regis from which their lot may be collected.
Alternatively, if preferred, the Rotary Club can arrange free delivery up to 10 miles from Lyme Regis, beyond which carriage and risk to be at buyers expense.
