WOOTTON Fitzpaine Social Club are raising funds for a village defibrillator and have set a target of £2,000 to cover the purchase and installation.

Their first event was held at the end of September when the club was open for afternoon tea and cakes. Together with the raffle, a total of £573 was raised and more donations have since been received.

The club are holding their annual Christmas bingo on Saturday, December 4 when the club will be open from 6.30pm for eyes down at 7pm.

This year the committee have decided that whilst money from the bingo will go towards running the club and the money made on the raffle will be donated to the defibrillator fund.

Everyone is welcome and the club is encouraging anyone unable to attend on the night to buy some raffle tickets in advance to help boost the fund.

The current amount raised stands at £1,025.
