Something different at The Baby Boutique

Former Woodroffe School student Abbie Cook opened The Baby Boutique in Bridge Street, Lyme Regis, in July

ONE of Lyme Regis’ newest businesses, The Baby Boutique, has enjoyed a successful first summer season and is now hoping to draw in residents with its unique and high-quality brands as it heads into autumn.

Abbie Cook, who attended Mrs Ethelston’s and The Woodroffe School, opened The Baby Boutique in the former premises of Your World Travel in Bridge Street in July.

She had previously run the business from Ottery St Mary, where she now lives, and has enjoyed great support and an increased footfall since making the move to Lyme Regis.

In the long-term, Abbie hopes to open further branches of The Baby Boutique but for now she is concentrating on her Lyme Regis store, hoping to provide something a little different to other children’s shops.

The boutique is packed with refreshing, organic clothing for new borns up to seven years, featuring brands such as Pigeon Organics and the earthy-coloured, unisex collections from Turtle Dove London.

There is also a selection of traditional soft and wooden toys, including from French brand Moulin Roty, and gentle baby cosmetics from Bloom & Blossom.

The Baby Boutique also has its own clothing line, which includes baby grows, muslins and blankets.

The shop is currently open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm and you can follow The Baby Boutique on Facebook and Instagram.
