A SPONSORED 50-mile march by some 200 ex-servicemen and women raised £1,200 for the RNLI in Lyme Regis.
The march, held in September, started at Lulworth Cove and finished at Lyme Regis lifeboat station.
It was held in aid of Rifles Regimental Trust’s Care for Casualties and it’s hoped the final total for this charity will reach £100,000.
Those taking part also carried collection buckets to raise additional funds for the RNLI.
One of the organisers of the march, Richard Davey, presented a cheque for £1,271 to Lyme Regis lifeboat operations manager Nick Mark last week.
