Reforestation charity offering free e-cards for LymeOnline readers

LYME Regis-based charity, The Word Forest Organisation, has been rendered rather incapacitated on the fundraising front.

Despite the fact that the government isn’t assisting any environmental charities to continue their vital work, the Word Forest team believe they can sail a steady course through the pandemic.

They’ve put together an appeal to help them on that journey and over the past few weeks, chairman of trustees Simon West, has created an e-card charity shop with page-turning cards.

Simon explains: “We’d like to give two free e-cards to all the LymeOnline readers. The cards are normally £1 each, or just 50p each if you buy five or more, and they’re really easy to send.

“We hope they will help people stay in touch with loved ones in a vibrant way that’s also doing other good in the world.”

There are 20 categories to browse, including a rather popular one called ‘Life After Lockdown’, and 373 designs to choose from.

To claim your two free e-cards, you must send both cards at the same time and the offer expires at the end of May.

Once you’ve written your two e-cards, just type ‘lymeonline’ in the coupon box when prompted.

The Word Forest Organisation is a reforestation charity that plants trees in Kenya to help combat climate change, as well as facilitating education and women’s empowerment groups.
