Lyme Regis to host election hustings

LYME Regis residents will have their chance to question parliamentary candidates at a hustings ahead of the General Election.

Three candidates standing for the West Dorset seat in the December 12 election have confirmed they will be attending.

They are Kelvin Clayton (Green Party), Edward Morello (Liberal Democrats) and Claudia Sorin (Labour). Conservative candidate Chris Loder is unable to attend.

The hustings will be held at The Hub in Church Street, Lyme Regis, on Sunday, December 8 with doors opening at 6pm for a 6.30pm start.

Questions to put to candidates should also be sent in advance to the email address above.

Refreshments will be available with donations welcome towards the cost of the event, with any profits to be split between Lyme Regis Food Bank, the One Planet Working Group and The Word Forest Organisation.

  1. Great attempt at real democracy but where oh where is the Tory candidate? Thanks to the organisers for bringing this Hustings to Lyme Regis where the people will be able to put their questions, at least to The Green, Liberal Democrat & Labour candidates. Well done.
