LYME Regis mum Annette Denning will be challenging herself to raise funds for children and adults with autism in a tribute to her son.

Annette is taking part in the Walk for Autism at the end of March for her son Joshua, who has autism.

Joshua, his brother Jacob and mum Annette are well-known in the town for their fundraising efforts, with Joshua always keen to help with collections at Lyme’s major events and festivals.

Now Annette will be challenging herself to walk 10,000 steps a day for eight consecutive days to raise funds for the Autism Initiatives Group, a national charity providing services for autistic children and adults of all ages and complexities.

Annette said: “I thought it was about time I did something to support others who have autism like Joshua.

“Joshua has shown me that nothing is impossible. He makes me laugh and smile everyday and also does the same to everyone around him.”

Annette will take part in the Walk for Autism from March 26 to April 2 and she had already surpassed her target of raising £200.
