Local churches to hold service ahead of COP26 climate change conference

climate changeLOCAL churches will gather on Lyme Regis seafront on Sunday, October 17 to take action and pray ahead of the COP26 climate change conference in Glasgow.

All are welcome to join in with the activities at the Marine Parade shelters, with drinks served from 2.30pm and the service from 3pm.

Team vicar at Uplyme Parish Church, the Reverend Nicky Davies, said: “We want to show our concern for creation. We want to add our voice to the many others who are equally concerned.

“We want the government and all in power to feel the pressure ahead of the talks. We must act now for the future of God’s planet.”
