Free safeguarding course at The Hub

hub logoLYME Regis Development Trust is continuing its support of The Hub Youth Club and local community groups by offering a free safeguarding training course at The Hub on Wednesday March 13.

The course will be held from 1pm to 3pm and will cover what safeguarding is and why it’s important, the process to take when an allegation is made, types of abuse young people face, county lines and why it’s important, and a brief overview of e-safety and why it’s relevant to young people.

The session will be aimed those with a background role within a service for young people – helping them to understand why safeguarding is important and what needs to be done within an organisation to safeguard young people. This can also act as a basic introduction to safeguarding for volunteers.
