Cyclist killed in Raymonds Hill crash

A 27-year-old man from Colyton died following a collision on the A35 at Raymonds Hill, between Lyme Regis and Axminster, yesterday (Thursday).

Emergency services were called to the scene at about 5.30am with reports of a collision between a van and a cyclist.

The cyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene. His next-of-kin have been informed.

Police remained on the scene and and the road was closed in both directions for several hours.

Witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage who was in the area at the time of the incident, are urged to contact police on 101, quoting log number 111 of July 4 2019.
