PLANS are in hand for members of Lyme Regis Town Council to attend another ‘away day’.
Such gatherings give councillors the opportunity to discuss issues in a more relaxed atmosphere away from the Guildhall – and out of the public eye.
The away day will centre around members’ behaviour, following a number of clashes in the Guildhall, including allegations of bullying, after which town clerk John Wright said some councillors were in denial over their behaviour.
An independent mediator will reportedly attend to oversee discussions.
A significant part of the day, however, will address what the council wants to achieve during the remaining two years of the current administration and how it wants to do it.
The council has also agreed to consult with residents on its future objectives.
