LYME Regis Football Club will be getting into the festive spirit this weekend with a Christmas Harvest Home.
The event will be held at 7pm on Saturday, December 11 and will include an auction of hampers for roast dinners and cooked breakfasts, sponsored by Lyme Regis Butchers, plus festive treats, booze and more.
The event will round off another successful year of fundraising for the Seasiders despite the COVID-19 pandemic, including a busy summer screening the European Championships, car parking on the pitch at the annual Sausage & Cider Festival.
Money raised will go towards club running costs and the completion of the club’s four-year scheme to improve both its playing and social facilities, with the final stage resurfacing of the car park and new gates about to get underway.
Organiser Francesca Evans said: “We have scaled back our usual Christmas Auction as we did not want to put more pressure on local businesses for prizes following a challenging year for everyone, but Lyme Regis Butchers has still kindly offered to sponsor many of our hampers.
“We will still have lots of great prizes up for grabs, with more of a focus on festive food and drink this year.
“The bar will be open and all are welcome, so please come along and celebrate Christmas with the Seasiders!”
