Lyme Regis crew called to fire in the open on Charmouth Road

dorset wiltshire fire rescue serviceLYME Regis Fire Brigade were called to a fire in the open in Charmouth Road on Wednesday afternoon. 

The crew were called at 2.57pm to a fire involving a small area of grass and shrubs measuring 1m by 1m on the bank between Charmouth Road car park and Lyme Regis Football Club.

Local sources reported that the fire was started in what looked like a ‘children’s den’.

Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire with the incident closed at 3.28pm.
