LYME Regis continues to prove itself as one of the most popular holiday destinations in the UK, with one of its much sought-after beach huts going up for sale for a whopping £50,000.
Fortnam, Smith & Banwell are currently advertising the beach hut on Monmouth Beach, which measures 8ft x 6ft and has a fold-down deck. The hut can only be used in the days and overnight stays are not permitted.
It follows the local estate agent’s record sale of a similar beach hut earlier this year, which was priced at £45,000.
The current listing is described as “a rare opportunity to own a beach hut on the popular Monmouth Beach in Lyme Regis with superb sea views”.
The £50,000 price tag would get you the 25-year leasehold of the beach hut (from 2017), with an additional ground rent charge of £325 a year payable to Lyme Regis Town Council, which also levy a transfer fee of 10% of the selling price plus VAT.
