Lyme care home raises £1,350 for air ambulance

FAIRFIELD House Care Home in Lyme Regis held its annual fundraising stall at the recent Melplash Show, in Bridport, this year in aid of Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance.

April Robinson, Fairfield House receptionist and event organiser, commented: “A massive thank you to everyone that supported and donated for this year’s show.

“We are delighted to announce the total raised for the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance was £1,350.65”.

Fairfield House would like to thank Toad Hall Cottages for the first place raffle prize of a £250 holiday voucher, as well as Seaton Tramway, Manor Farm Bar and Takeaway, Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens, Framptons of Bridport, Soulshine Cafe, Windy Corner Cafe, Annie’s Tea Rooms, Freshwater Beach Holiday Park, Ferne Animal Sanctuary, Bridport Leisure Centre, The Royal Lion Hotel, Lyme Bay Winery, A Touch Of Vintage, Sandworld Sand Sculpture Festival, Pecorama, Eagle Autos, Morrisons, Coffee#1, The Town Mill, Moores Biscuits, Alexandra Hotel and Restaurant, Lavender Blue Flowers, Leakers Bakery, CLH Group Ltd and many more for tombola donations.

Thanks also go to the Royal Oak, The Bank House Café, Herringbone, The Shed Hair & Beauty Boutique and Colmers Hill Fashion for selling raffle tickets prior to the event, and Morgans of Charmouth for permitting volunteers to sell raffle tickets on a stall outside their premises.

Carol Ashby, Fairfield House manager, said: “We have been overwhelmed by everyone’s generosity this year.

“I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the Fairfield House staff for their time and enthusiasm in creating such positive community spirit in their fundraising efforts for such a worthy cause.”
