THE latest crime figures released by police show there were 35 reported crimes in the Lyme Regis area during May 2021.
These figures compare to 41 crimes the previous month and 42 during the same month last year.
From the 35 recorded incidents in May 2021, 17 took place in Lyme Regis itself, with nine in Charmouth, six in Uplyme, two in Wootton Fitzpaine and one in Fishpond Bottom.
In Lyme Regis, crimes includes seven public order offences, three incidents of anti-social behaviour, two of violence and sexual offences, and five listed as ‘other crimes’.
In Charmouth, reported crimes included three burglaries, one incident of anti-social behaviour, one of criminal damage and arson and three listed as ‘other crime’.
It Wootton Fitzpaine, there were two incidents of violence and sexual offences, and in Fishpond Bottom there was one vehicle crime.
Across the Devon border in neighbouring Uplyme and Raymonds Hill, there were four vehicle crimes, one incident of violence and sexual offences and one listed under ‘other crimes’.
Crime figures for June 2021 have not yet been released.
