THE latest crime figures released by police show there were 30 reported crimes in the Lyme Regis area during January 2021.
These figures compare to 25 crimes the previous month and 35 during the same month last year.
From the 30 recorded incidents in January 2021, 18 took place in Lyme Regis, six in Charmouth, two in Wootton Fitzpaine, one in Monkton Wyld and three in Uplyme.
In Lyme Regis, crimes included 14 incidents of anti-social behaviour, two of criminal damage and arson, one theft and one listed as ‘other crime’.
In Charmouth, reported crimes included three burglaries, one incident of anti-social behaviour, one possession of weapons and one ‘other crime’.
In Wootton Fitzpaine there was one incident of violence and sexual offences and one theft; in Monkton Wyld there was also one incident of violence and sexual offences; and in Uplyme there was three incidents of violence and sexual offences.
Crime figures for February 2021 have not yet been released.
