THE annual bonfire  and firework night celebrations will take place in Lyme Regis on Saturday, November 6.

Events will include a magnificent firework display from the Cobb at 6.30pm, followed by the lighting of the bonfire on the beach.

Local businesses in the Cobb area will be staying open to enable everyone to have an enjoyable night.

Organisers have appealed for help in building the bonfire between 9am and and 12noon on the day of the event, and for help with the clearing of the beach from 8.30am on Sunday, November 7.

A collection will be made at the end of the firework display and collectors are also urgently needed.

Finally, if you have any wood for the bonfire (no garden waste) please bring it to the beach on Saturday, November 6 between 9am and 12noon, or if you need help with transport ,or to discuss helping with any of the above, contact Alan Vian on 01297 442220 or email
