Father and son to shave heads for cancer charities

Ashley and Nigel Ball will be shaving their heads for two cancer charities

LYME Regis horticulturalists Nigel and Ashley Ball will be undergoing an autumn shave to raise funds for two cancer charities close to their hearts.

The father and son will both be shaving their heads on Sunday to raise funds for Axminster and Lyme Cancer Support and Macmillan Cancer Support.

With Nigel’s wife Karen still undergoing cancer treatment, these two charities have been a great support help to both her and the family during a difficult 15 months.

Anyone wishing to make a donation to Nigel and Ashley can contact them by calling Nigel on 07855 079 194.

They will also be selling their homegrown produce from their home at 31 Talbot Road this weekend to boost funds.

A fundraiser for the same two charities was held in Axminster this week. Estate agents Vicary & Co teamed up with the Community Waffle House to host a takeaway coffee morning and cake stall on the Minster Green.
