Four candidates nominated for Lyme Regis Town Council by-election

THERE is set to be a four-way race for a vacancy on Lyme Regis Town Council, with a by-election to go ahead on May 6.

Four candidates have put themselves forward for election to the town council.

They are Caroline Aldridge of Lyme Regis for the Liberal Democrats; Vicki Elcoate of Lyme Regis for the Green Party; Independent candidate Christopher Service, of Axminster; and Tara Webb of Lyme Regis, who lists no political affiliation.

The vacancy on Lyme Regis Town Council arose after Leon Howe was automatically removed as a councillor having not attended a meeting for six months.

The by-election will bring the council back up to its full membership of 14.

The election will be held on May 6, coinciding with the Dorset Police & Crime Commissioner elections.
