WANT to make your business more sustainable and reduce waste? Litter Free Dorset wants to do everything it can to help businesses find efficient and cost-effective ways to lessen their impact on the environment.
It has launched a Dorset-wide business survey, in which business owners will be asked about their commercial waste management, recycling, packaging, drainage, single-use plastic and more.
A spokesperson said: “We know this can be a complex issue, which is why we want to get the real picture of what is going on in Dorset businesses, so we can support you more in the future.
“Your responses to the survey questions will be collated and followed up by a package of resources to help businesses reduce their overall impact on the environment. Support will include business surgeries, local support networks, events and more.
“Of course, we want to get as many responses as possible, so we have Chambers of Commerce, BIDs and town councils across Dorset on board to champion the survey in their local areas.
“We know many Dorset Businesses are already doing an amazing job in making their operations as sustainable as possible, but we can all do better. So we’re asking every business to take the time – just 10 minutes – to complete the survey and give us a detailed picture of what is happening now, and what we can do to improve.
“After all, the more data we can gather, the more we will be able to support businesses so we can all do better for Dorset.”
The survey will be accompanied by a social media campaign, which businesses from all parts of Dorset and every type of industry are invited to get involved with. You can follow Litter Free Dorset @litterfreedorset and share its posts to get the word out to businesses across Dorset.
Litter Free Dorset has also teamed up with The Embroidery Barn to offer a prize draw. Every business that completes the survey and submits their details will be entered into the draw to win a set of 10 custom embroidered or printed organic cotton T-shirts for their business.
