LYME Regis’s Daffodil Day to raise money for Marie Curie is this Saturday (March 4).
Two dozen volunteers will again be out between 9am to 4pm. In their distinctive yellow hats and tabards they’re hoping to brave the elements and collect for an hour each.
Marie Curie is the UK’s leading charity for people with any terminal illness, providing them with vital one-to-one nursing care and support in their own homes.
Still too many people do not get the care they need to live their final days with dignity in the place they want to be.
So please come into Lyme on Saturday if you are able and help fill the tins. There are also some collecting boxes around the town which will be in place throughout March.
Every penny raised in Dorset stays in Dorset.
Due to probable icy snow underfoot and the chill factor, Saturday’s Daffodil Day collection in Lyme is cancelled.
