Lyme Regis taxi service closes amid pandemic

Terry's TaxisLYME Regis’ longest-running taxi service, Terry’s Taxis, has announced that it has closed down.

The business closed down on December 28 with owner Terry Peadon saying disruption caused by the coronavirus pandemic was among the reasons.

He commented: “With regret, due to the loss of a driver and despite of  many attempts  the inability to attract new drivers, the current COVID crisis and the amount of cancellations disrupting business over the last two years, after nearly nine years of trading, I have decided to close the business.

“I would like to thank all my customers for their support over the years.

“When/if we can get back to some normality, I may consider re-opening.”
