Butchers helping to raise funds for Cancer Research UK

The award-winning Lyme Regis Butchers are supporting Cancer Research UK over the next month, by donating a percentage of online sales to the charity

THE Lyme Regis branch of Cancer Research UK’s BIG Breakfast, which was due to take place tomorrow, has been cancelled due to the more stringent COVID-19 regulations now in place.

The breakfast had first been scheduled to take place in April but was put back to September when the coronavirus pandemic first broke out in the UK.

Now it has had to be called off for a second time due to the new ‘Rule of Six’ regulations recently introduced.

The popular breakfast often raises about £1,000 for the Lyme Regis branch of Cancer Research UK, and to make up for the lost funds the branch has teamed up with Lyme Regis Butchers, which had been planning to supply the bacon and sausages free of charge for the event.

Instead, the butchers will now be donating 10% of any online order over £9.99 made in the Lyme Regis and Charmouth area from tomorrow (September 25) to October 25 to the charity.

Simply place your order online at www.lymeregisbutchers.co.uk, available for collection in store or local delivery.
